Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • 500 gm Wheat and barely (broken)


  • 500 gm Chana dal / split bengal gram


  • 100 gm Urad dal / split black gram


  • 100 gm Masoor dal


  • 100 gm Arhar dal / split red gram


  • 100 gm Rice


  • 1 kg Mutton


  • 4 Onion (sliced)


  • 4 tablespoon Ginger garlic paste


  • 3 teaspoon Red chilli powder


  • 3 teaspoon Turmeric powder


  • 4 Cinnamon stick


  • Salt 4 teaspoon


  • 6 Bay leaves


  • 250 gm Oil


  • 1 tablespoon Garam masala powder


  • A bunch Coriander leaves (chopped) 1 cup

Directions

  • In a pressure cooker add wheat and barley add 1 teaspoon turmeric and pressure cooked till it's become soft and tender
  • In a pressure cooker add chana dal along with all other pulses and rice now pressure cooked till all become soft and tender so it's easy to mashed
  • Heat oil in a cooker add 2 tablespoon onion saute till golden colour now add cinnamon, bay leaves & add mutton saute for a while
  • Now add ginger garlic paste, red chilli turmeric and salt mix it well add 1 or 2 cup of water & pressure cooked mutton till it's become soft
  • Now open a lid of pressure cooker sautee mutton till oil comes from sides or above
  • Remove all oil from the mutton and keep it in another pan. (This is for tempering)
  • Now in a big pot add wheat and barely mashed it well now add chana dal mixture mix & mashed it all well
  • Now add mutton masala in it mix it well on low flame
  • Now take a pan (in which you keep oil) add remaining onion saute till brown colour when it's done remove from oil and make a paste
  • Now add this paste in a whole mixture and mix well
  • Now add garam masala, green chilli and coriander mix well and stir continuously.
  • When it's come to boil off the flame
  • Now again heat remaining oil in pan and pour it on a haleem
  • Serve hot with lemon juice
